This is an important topic, as it could potentially affect all residential UAD appraisals beginning in mid- April, 2015. 

Collateral Underwriter is a tool used to identify defects in appraisals and aspects of appraisals that require additional attention.  Earlier this year Fannie Mae began sharing its Collateral Underwriter software with lending institutions and appraisal management companies as a way to critique UAD appraisals.  In mid-April Collateral Underwriter Version 2.1 will be released.
