Birmingham Legion Football Club

Head Coach, Tom Soehn, will talk about the club and his own journey ending up in Birmingham. Soehn is a well-known and respected name in American professional soccer circles.

Director of Business Operation, Morgan Trotter Copes, will join us for a quick visit. Many of you know him as the co-founder of Birmingham Hammers. It is the Hammers’ grassroots efforts that helped pave the way for Birmingham Legion FC to join the USL. 

As an expansion member of the USL Championship, Birmingham Legion FC is the Magic City’s first and only locally owned and operated professional soccer franchise. The club plays home matches at a newly renovated BBVA Field, on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mark you calendar for August 17 and join us for Birmingham Legion FC's home game vs Memphis 901 FC. More to come. 

There will be plenty of time to mingle and network and we will serve light refreshments. 

The Young Professionals group is under the AlabamaGermany Partnership umbrella. Its members are interns, co-op or employees of either an Alabama-Germany company or institution. The age requirement is 21 to 39. This also includes college students, grad students studying German language, international business, science and engineering. The group will promote international education, individual career development and promotion of Alabama-German companies and workforce development.
