AlabamaGermany Partnership Event - Conversation with Better Basics

Join us for a talk with a local nonprofit dedicated to advancing reading and mathematical literacy through enrichment and intervention programs right here in Alabama:

Thursday, January 28, 2021
5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST
ZOOM Webinar

In 2019-2020, Better Basics served nearly 22,000 students within the Central Alabama school districts! Their programs, which focus on underserved students in the Birmingham, Fairfield City and Talladega County schools, touch more aspects in the child’s life than pure reading and math competencies. Students build confidence that impacts other areas of their lives. We will be joined by Dr. Kristi Bradford, Executive Director at Better Basics, as she tells us about the history of the 25-year-old organization, current and future plans/programs, impacts from the pandemic and how motivated individuals can participate in their cause! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about local community involvement!
