This workshop is designed to give you information and advice on the steps required to go from your idea to a product that can be sold. It covers traditional business plan contents with a specific focus on products.

Additional help can be provided by SCORE experienced Mentors with face-to-face counseling meetings.

In addition to the traditional steps of defining your market and customers, quantifying the financial aspects of the business, etc, which are common to all Business Plans, there are other activities that will require consideration and planning, such as:

  • Do you need to patent or copyright?
  • Where and how will it be manufactured?
  • Channels to market
  • Inventory considerations
  • and others...

 Jerry Jones- An entrepreneur at heart, he has over 35 years sales and product development experience in both consumer product goods and business to business products and services, with specific expertise in importing and exporting.  Over the years Jerry has owned a number of small businesses and is currently owner of many innovative product patents through his own company. He currently has two products for sale on the internet and TV. He counsels SCORE clients in the areas of business strategy & planning, manufacturing & product development and sales and marketing.  He is in high demand given his experience in international trade and imports, sales and retail and wholesale trade.
