DSC Puts the Pink ON 

I am both honored and delighted to Chair this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Event on behalf of the Daytona State Chapter of The Association of Florida Colleges.  I have some exciting events planned during the month of October as Daytona State “Puts the PINK ON”.

Each and every one of us has been touched throughout our lifetime by the loss of a loved one or colleague due to breast cancer, as well as many of us have had the honor of knowing those who have survived.  It is my goal to work collaboratively with the Lee Denim Day Foundation as well as Florida Hospital.

I hope you will join me in this endeavor of raising awareness and monetary contributions to aid in the research and fights for a CURE.

Lee Denim Day - Friday, Oct. 7 - purchase a pink ribbon pin for a donation of $5 and wear your jeans to work. Pins can be obtained from:

Pink Bake Sale - Monday, October 10 and Tuesday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wetherell Center (bldg. 100), Lobby. Donations needed for the bake sale, please bring all baked goods to 100/210  the morning of the sale.

  Pink Party on the Daytona Beach Campus - Friday, Oct. 21, noon - 1 p.m. - bring your own lunch.

Pink Raffle Basket - donate pink items and/or purchase tickets to win - drawing will be made Friday, Oct. 21.
