STEM Success Week, Aug. 19-23 

This fantastic event is being hosted by Daytona State's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Community Scholars program, made possible through funding by the National Science Foundation. Success Week is all about introducing students like you to the many benefits of pursuing careers in the STEM disciplines. We'll help you:

• learn about the benefits of becoming a STEM Community Scholar;
• narrow your career focus based on your own personal interests;
• plan your course of study during and after you graduate from Daytona State College;
• explore today's most in-demand careers in the STEM disciplines;
• meet a diverse range of guest speakers who will share their stories about the STEM-related career fields they've chosen.

STEM scholars are part of an exclusive group of academically talented students who receive ongoing support from faculty advisors and peer mentors. Students explore careers through internships, meetings with industry representatives, tours of local businesses, and attendance at career fairs and industry conferences. It's an opportunity you won't want to miss! 

Success Week kicks off with an orientation on Monday, Aug. 19, at 5:30 p.m. in Bergengren Hall (Bldg. 110), Rm. 112, on the Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd. Bring your parents or other family members and learn more about the STEM Community Scholars program and what Success Week has in store for you.
