About This Event

The Clark County Turkey Trot is a family-friendly 5K Run/Walk or 10K Run along the beautiful Salmon Creek Trail, starting and ending at Klineline Pond. The race always happens on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00am. We are back in 2014 with another fun race planned. All proceeds (100% of them!) will support the Clark County Food Bank. We love the work that the food bank does and are proud to see people like you supporting the hungry in our community.

Race Information

All races start at 9:00am on Thanksgiving morning.
Important Dates:
  • Registration will close at midnight on Friday, November 21st or at 1,200 runners. Like last year, there will be NO day of race registration.
  • Packet pick-up is the day before the race on Wednesday, November 26th from 3-7p.m. at Clark County Food Bank. If you are unable to make it to the packet pick-up, you are welcome to have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you. You may also want to bring non-perishable food to the packet pick-up. This is optional of course, but truly appreciated.
  • You must register by November 11th at midnight to be guaranteed a shirt.
All races, regardless of distance or age of participant, cost $25/person and include an official Turkey Trot 2014 shirt (100% cotton, kids and adult sizes), race bib, and other amenities.

More than just a 5K or 10K race, the Turkey Trot is a tradition of celebration on Thanksgiving morning. For some it’s an excuse to eat an extra piece of pie later in the day! For all it is about being together, and helping the community. The course is not designed for you to have the fastest race time of your life. It is designed for fun, connection, and encouragement! In addition to the race itself, you’ll experience lots of post-race food (coffee, bagels, donuts, bananas, etc.), the annual piņata for kids, and the infamous Polar Bear Swim into Klineline Pond!

Polar Bear Plunge (New Details for 2014!)

This year the Polar Bear Plunge will help feed more families in Clark County!! There will be a registration for this fun event and you will receive a towel with every purchase. Every year a few brave folks jump into the icy waters of Klineline Pond. This annual event happens right at 10:00 am. Follow the registration link below to get started.

Costume Prizes

There will be PRIZES for the most creative and wacky Thanksgiving outfits. We look forward to seeing you and your family in fun costumes. We cannot wait to see what you think up!

Supporting Clark County Food Bank

The race benefits the Clark County Food Bank. During registration, you may choose to donate more than the $25 race cost. This money will go straight to helping hungry people in our community get food. You will have the opportunity on the registration page to make an additional donation if you are interested.

Volunteers

We need about 75 volunteers to make this race happen – everything from people who hand out donuts, mark the race course, help with t-shirt sorting, and more. Interested? We need you. To Volunteer click this link: Volunteer
