Afternoon Session
Steward Those Donors!

Stewarding donors is one of the best investments your organization can make in revenue generation. Using some of the most recent research on donor stewardship, this session will help you determine what approaches will work best for your organization.

Our donor base is changing and donors have far different needs and expectations than even a few years ago.  There are important trends in donor cultivation and stewardship you need to be aware to create effective stewardship programs.  Donors today have more choices than ever to direct their charitable gifts.  Keeping the donors you have and drawing them closer to your organization is more essential than ever.

This half-day workshop will include:

  • Disasters in Donor Relations – An Analysis
  • Understanding Why Donors Give
  • How Do We Get to Know our Donors
  • Donors and Information Maintenance
  • A Look at Donor Recognition
  • What Makes Donors Stay With You?

This workshop is intended for all those who have direct contact with donors, who oversee donor cultivation and stewardship programs, and volunteers who may be involved in thanking donors.  It will also be of benefit to organizations wishing to begin more intentional donor stewardship programs.  Workshop materials will give you useful information, templates you make take away and directions to other resources.
