What Successful Nonprofits Do to Succeed

Have you ever wondered why some nonprofits succeed and others do not? There is a science to success - even for nonprofits. Attend this workshop and learn what to do in 90 days to jump-start your nonprofit and become "future-proof". This workshop is intended for new nonprofit founders, administrators and executive directors.  Jump-start your nonprofit success by registering and attending this training!

Participants will learn:
  • How to develop a Clear Purpose
  • Build a Solid Board of Directors
  • Where to Find Volunteers
  • What Funders Look for in a Grant Application
  • How to Invest in their Own Growth
  • How to Remain Legally Compliant
  • How to become “Grant-Ready”

Fee: $25

SCORE will provide refunds for cancellations received 24 hours in advance of the start of an event. No refunds will be issued if the request is not received at least 24 hours in advance of the event, and no refunds will be issued for non attendance. Events are subject to cancellation. About Our Speaker

 

Cheryl Smith is a Small Business Owner and Adviser in Metro Atlanta where she leverages her industry knowledge to help business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits build capacity and grow or remain fiscally sound. She is also a State Approved Professional Trainer (Licensed by Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning), as well as, a SCORE Certified Mentor.


Cheryl earned her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and her Master's degree from Kennesaw State University. Her graduate degree is in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration. Cheryl has spent her nonprofit career supporting children and families in various front-line, supervisory, Director and Executive Director level positions; and, she has written several federal, state, local and foundation grants in support of organizations with whichshe is aligned. Cheryl's long-standing mission is to help others reach their highest and best potential.
