About our Instructor

Howard Dent, III believes in using his twenty-five plus years of experience in banking, finance, and entrepreneurship to help individuals and small companies start, grow and thrive.
 
Prior to "retiring" from Corporate America Mr. Dent held positions at various financial institutions including Credit Suisse, WF Commercial Capital, and Wells Fargo Bank where he and his team were responsible for raising over several billion dollars in capital. Before joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Dent was founding Principal and President of a Georgia based mortgage finance company.  Prior to that, Mr. Dent started and operated a specialty finance focused small business consultancy.  Mr. Dent started his career with Accenture where he served as a Consultant in their Financial Markets Division.  

Mr. Dent is a proud alumnus of Bernard M. Baruch College where he graduated, Cum Laude, with a degree in Finance.  

Mr. Dent is currently serving as a Business Consultant with the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center (“SBDC”.)  The SBDC is a non-profit whose mission is to enhance the economic well-being of Georgians by providing a wide range of educational services for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
