Gospel singer Theresa Thomason, returns to St. Martin's with several fellow musicians for a concert to benefit hurricane relief in the Caribbean.
All ticket proceeds will go to Episcopal Relief & Development's hurricane relief fund and the New Light Baptist Church: Hurricane Irma Relief, specifically for the Virgin Islands.
Musicans include: Theresa Thomason (vocals), Aaron Graves (piano), Leonard "Doc" Gibbs (percussion), Randy Sutin (vibes), Paul Butler (woodwinds), Jim Hamilton (percussion), Lee Smith (bass).
Tickets are $20 each.

Theresa Thomason is a an American gospel singer known for her distinctive vocal range and tone. About Thomason, a recent critic wrote “In a world crowded with nearly 7 billion people, there probably aren’t a hundred voices as rich as hers”. Her career was launched with a winning performance at the Apollo Theater in New York City, after which she toured Europe for over 10 years with performances in the most hallowed theaters of Europe, including a performance at the Vatican in 2005. Her career includes performances and recordings with the Grammy Award-winning Paul Winter Consort, Pete Seeger, Dream Theater, renowned conductor John Rutter, the choreographer Maurice Hines, actor Ruby Dee, and her own acclaimed musical production called “The Sisterhood”.
Theresa was born in New Jersey and has deep family roots in the Virgin Islands.
