Benny Golson: Jazz Legend 
Featuring Benny Golson on saxophone
with Hey Rim Jeon, piano, Ron Mahdi, bass, and Ralph Peterson, drums
Benny Golson is a legendary composer, arranger, lyricist, and producer whose tenor playing has continued to evolve with time, redefining the term “jazz” along the way. Raised with an impeccable musical pedigree, Golson has played in the bands of world famous Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, and Art Blakey among others. He is the only living jazz artist to have written eight standards for jazz repertoire. He has recorded over 30 albums for many recording companies in the U.S. and Europe under his own name and innumerable ones with other major artists. A prodigious writer, Golson has written well over 300 compositions. He is also passionate about teaching jazz to young and old alike, teaching workshops and clinics at a variety of schools throughout the country.
There will be a Q/A session after the performance, followed by a reception in the Pendleton East Atrium. The concert will be live streamed at http://web.wellesley.edu/PublicAffairs/Live/

You may still get on the wait list by using the "items" on the reservation page. We will release any unclaimed seatsat 7:50pm, to those WITH WAIT LIST reservations, by order of ARRIVAL. Anyone not able to be seated in the hall will have the option to watch from overflow seating available, and can join the reception after the performance.

Lobby opens at 6:45pm. GENERAL SEATING WITH RESERVATIONS WILL BEGIN AT 7:15PM.
ALL UNCLAIMED SEATS WILL BE RELEASED AT 7:50PM, to those with reserved overflow seats/wait list only, in order of arrival.
