Communicating with AAC 

This is a hands on workshop for current AAC users and the people who support their communication needs.

You must:

1. be a current AAC user

2. Must have an AAC device or app you can bring with you (whether it is low tech or high tech). 

We will have a certified AAC Specialist to: 

• screen each AAC user/parent  to determine if their current method of AAC is most effective.
• Develop, test, and replicate innovative high tech and low tech communication system(s) and strategies that can enable individuals who use AAC and their families to improve access to the community.  
• Educate family members and caregivers the traits of a good communication partner and practice.  

$20 per communication team (1 AAC users and up to 2 communication partners).  This will be a hands on presentation for a smaller group.  Registration will be limited.
