 Staying Safe in the Virtual World

This class is for individuals with I/DD (16 yrs and over) This 6-week class will meet for an hour to address how does social media, fake news and marketing impact our daily habits. New vocabulary will be reviewed, and assignments will be given out of class-time. Adult content may be presented or discussed in class.

Fee: $50 pp for six week class

Participants will: 

• learn how social media, marketting and technology influence their lives. 
• identify their own biasis.
• learn how to identify fake news.
• learn to do a "purposeful" internet search.
• learn the impact of sharing "fake" information in the virtual world.

A limited number of scholarships are available.
