Earn your Nuclear Science Merit Badge at McGuire Nuclear Station

In honor of National Nuclear Science Week (Oct. 20 to Oct. 24), the EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station will host a nuclear science merit badge program. The program will be led by Johnny Norton, a longtime member of the Boy Scouts and engineering teacher and a Duke Energy nuclear engineer. 

The program is free and open to the first 65 participants. No pre-work is required. Refreshments and a pizza dinner will be served. 

Important Information:

• Registration is required and will open on Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. 
• Registration will only be taken online.
• Participants cannot register as a troop. Each scout must register individually.
• Uniforms are NOT required, but Class A or B uniforms are suggested to be worn.
