Duke Energy nuclear employees invite you to participate in a virtual career panel

To celebrate Nuclear Science Week (Oct. 19 -23), Duke Energy nuclear employees will host a free virtual career panel for high school students that focuses on a different nuclear power career profile each day throughout the week.

Each session will start at 10 a.m. and is expected to last about 30 to 45 minutes.

Learn about a variety of engineering paths within nuclear power; explore how Duke Energy focuses on public and employee safety through radiation protection careers and how chemistry plays a crucial role in nuclear operation; discover the “eyes and ears” of a nuclear plant through first-hand experience from nuclear operators; and hear stories from our highly-skilled maintenance employees who are mechanics, welders, electricians, instrumentation and control technicians and more.

Parents/guardians: Be sure to read the photo release form prior to registering. You will be asked to check a box acknowledging you have read the release form when you register below. You are not required to sign the form.

For consideration received, the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby grants to Duke Energy Corporation (“Duke Energy”), its subsidiaries, affiliates and designees the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to use and publish photographs/videos/voice-overs that Duke Energy or its designees take/record of me (“Participant”) on the above date(s), or in which I may be included, for promotion, trade, advertising and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same.  

The undersigned hereby releases and discharges Duke Energy and its designees from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with Duke Energy’s use or publication of said photographs/videos/voice-overs. I have read the Duke Energy Model Release form and give consent for any photographs, videos and/or voice overs taken/recorded during this event to be used by Duke Energy Corporation. 

If Participant is a minor, I hereby represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above named Participant and as such individually and as parent or legal guardian of the above named Participant consent to the foregoing permission to use photographs/videos/voice-overs and the foregoing release.
