Working to end hunger in Sarasota
In 2015, 33% of households in Sarasota and
58% of households in DeSoto couldn't afford basic needs such
as housing, childcare, food, health care, and transportation.
Cornell Cares Day brings together Cornellians
and friends around the world in a day of community service.
Join our group at All Faiths Food Bank to sort food for distribution to the clients served by the food bank.
Volunteers will be on their feet most of the time; 30 registrants maximum.
We are the only organization on this date; it's critical that we provide volunteers.
Registrants ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Under 10, not allowed.
Cornell students home on break are encouraged to attend.
All attendees must be registered and complete a waiver of liability.
Close-toed shoes required; light, comfortable clothing.
There is parking at the building, we will meet in the foyer at 8:15am.
Location is off Fruitville Road, just east of I-75 (Fruitville Rd. to left on Sarasota Center Blvd., to right on Blaikie Ct.; the building is on the left).
