Los Angeles Veterans Survey Results

Please join us on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. for a press conference to announce the official results of the Los Angeles Veterans Survey, the first and most comprehensive assessment of the local military community.

Launched last fall, the survey polled more than 1,500 veterans to help identify opportunities for program development, public policy and community collaboration in Los Angeles County, home to the nation's largest concentration of veterans. The survey was developed and conducted by the USC Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families (CIR) and the Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative and explored such topics as employment, education, housing, and physical and mental health. What this survey found, in part, is that a high number of veterans return to Los Angeles with unmet needs. They also return to a community not well positioned to provide a holistic approach to meet those needs.

CIR Director Dr. Anthony Hassan and Director of Research Dr. Carl Castro will present highlights from the survey. National and state veteran leaders will also discuss the impact of these results. Copies of the technical report will be available to attendees.

We look forward to seeing you for this important event.
