Board Certified Behavior Analysts

The Institute of Clinical Training and Research is approved to offer continuing education CEU’s to BCBA certified members. BCBA members attending the entire program and completing the evaluation will receive 8 Ethics CE’s.

  BCBA Supervisor Training

                     This training meets the new BACB Supervisor Training Requirements                         

Presenter: Michael Weinberg, Ph.D., LP, BCBA-D

Description: In order to conform with the BACB® requirements published in  September 2012,  Board Certified Behavior Analysts who wish to provide supervision for those seeking certification or who wish to provide ongoing supervision for BCaBAs, are required to complete an 8-hour -training program based on the BACB’s® curriculum. This is an interactive training with small-group participation and practice activities.

This training event covers the following Behavior Analysis Content:

  • BACB requirements for supervision training
  • Purpose of Supervision
  • Features of Supervision
  • Behavioral Skills Training (as part of supervision)
  • Performace Feedback
  • Evaluating Effects of Supervision
  • Ongoing Professional Development

Training Learning Objectives

Participants will describe and/or demonstrate:

- the new supervision requirements set forth by the BACB,

- the reasons for and the components of effective, evidence-based supervision,

-the potential outcomes of ineffective supervision,

- the components of behavioral skills training of the supervisee,

-  the different types of performance feedback,

- major components of BACB ethical standards as applied to the supervision of BACB candidates, and

- methods for the ongoing professional development of the supervisor and the supervisee.
