As the pace of practice intensifies, now more than ever, Architects are called upon to provide a variety of services above and beyond traditional areas of practice. Both local and global clients look to Architect-Led teams for a full bandwidth approach - seeking not only design and technical expertise, but also a holistic view toward shaping the built environment. With shifting patterns of growth in Arizona, ideas such as environmental stewardship, smart urban growth, community-based design, once reserved for the academy, are now part of the mainstream vocabulary in the public realm and true drivers in a new economy. In many ways, these postive changes can be attributed to quiet leadership of architects and allied professionals, who through their work, open minds, shift landscapes and invite views toward the long-term.
This year, as a state component, AIA Members + Industry Partners will gather to talk about this kind of leadership - Disruptive Leadership. Together, we will learn from people whose ideas remind us that an unexpected approach is often the best approach, and that the status quo requires re-examination to usher in true innovation.
Join us, in a new venue - Downtown Phoenix Sheraton - October 23, 2014 - for a full day of meaningful presentations and dialogue.
