"WEEKEND OF GUTHRIE IN REDLANDS"      APRIL 8 - 10, 2011

The weekend starts off Friday evening with a presentation on the life and songs of  Woody Guthrie. This muliti-media lecture is hosted by the San Bernandino County Museum and emphasizes the time Woody spent living and recording his radio show in So California.  (Free Admission)

We return to the San Bernadino County Museum on Saturday for a special Children's concert. Entertaining, educational and Inspiring, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion bring three generations of music to the next generation of Redlands with her "GO Waggaloo!" concert - a delightful, interactive music experience for children, and most importantly with children.  (This concert is free with museum admission)

The weekend's main event is the concert with Arlo Guthrie. An accomplished folk artist and veteran performer, Arlo is known for his humerous and insightful storytelling through song, including the epic 1967, Alice's Restaurant. He was one of the key performers at the historic Woodstock  in 1969 and was featured in the Oscar winning film of the same name.  (See ticketing details above)
