Did you know that the library provides access to several subscriptions useful for conducting genealogical research? This presentation will explore both the Ancestry.com and MyHeritage Library Editions and provide an overview of how to successfully search and navigate these databases.
Ancestry Library Edition is the world’s most popular online genealogy resource and includes billions of names from U.S. censuses, birth, marriage and death records, as well as unique collections from Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries.
MyHeritage Library Edition is a new site, which you can access from home with a Bemis library card. It provides more than 5 billion historical records from all over the world, including census records, family trees, tombstone photos, historical photographs, government and court records, wills and probate records, obituaries, and more, and is particularly strong in its international archive of records and documents.
Deena Coutant is a professional genealogist who specializes in education and technology, client research, and photo organization.
Be sure to register if you plan to attend. Supplemental resources will be emailed to attendees after the class.
