Understanding Your Rights under Copyright Law

Copyright is a complex and ever-evolving area of law and it is more at the center of librarianship than ever before.  This interactive workshop will address copyright in both traditional and digital/online environments, with a focus on fair use.  Learn how to feel confident making a fair use analysis, how to ensure your own rights under fair use, and how to minimize your risk in doing so.  Understanding your rights under copyright law enables you to analyze difficult circumstances and empowers you to make confident and informed decisions for your institution.

Cost: NEFLIN events are open to library staff in Florida only.  NEFLIN’s Expert Series is free of charge for Florida library staff.  Registration is required.
