Tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices have significantly changed the way people access and use information. Because of this, we should also consider how these new technologies can and should impact teaching and learning in library settings. This workshop will explore some of the new and innovative ways to use mobile technologies and apps in and beyond the library classroom. We will discuss guidelines and strategies for identifying, evaluating, and selecting devices and apps for teaching and learning, along with best practices for keeping up with and using mobile devices and other new instructional technologies.
