NEFLIN Marketing Interest Group - Jacksonville (02/26/15) 

The NEFLIN Marketing Interest Group provides members with an opportunity to share best practices, exchange ideas, and support one another in our efforts to educate our communities about our library’s value. If you’re looking for help in creating or improving your library’s brand standards guide, developing a marketing plan for a new program or service, or just general support in making sure your community knows what your library offers, this group is for you!

Our first meeting will be in-person at the Main Library in Jacksonville following the Expert Series talk It's the Experience That Matters with Melanie Huggins.  

If you want to grab lunch between the workshop and our meeting, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, or bring your own lunch and eat in a meeting room or outside in our beautiful courtyard.

Interest groups offer NEFLIN members outstanding networking, informational, and problem solving opportunities.  They offer a chance to come together to discuss hot topics and provide a forum to let others know what is going on in the library where you work.

Interest Group Leader: Kathy Lussier, APR, Jacksonville Public Library

Kathy Lussier, APR, is the Manager of Community Relations and Marketing for the Jacksonville Public Library system.  In her role, she leads a team of talented individuals who have a passion for spreading the word about the programs and services of the Jacksonville Public Library through marketing, public relations, branding, media relations, community relations, lifelong learning and social media using brochures, fliers, posters, web graphics and other materials.  Kathy brings 30 years of experience in corporate public relations and marketing as well as government relations and television news to her position at JPL, which she has held for four years.  A graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Kathy earned her national accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America in 1999.  She and her husband Joe (and adorable dog Napoleon) have lived in Jacksonville for 12 years.

Cost: NEFLIN Interest Groups are free of charge, but are available for NEFLIN members only.  Registration is preferred.
