What National Trends Mean for Northeast Florida Communities
Libraries sit at the nexus of changes in information and knowledge management, massive digitization and new social norms. Karen Perry draws from her experience at a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and a consultant and advisor to the Aspen Institute, Pew Research Center, U.S. Department of Commerce, Intel, American Library Association, Chief Officers of State Library Agencies and individual County and State Systems to share major trends effecting libraries today. Karen will highlight recent research and reports on library perceptions, information access, technology and community expectations. More important, her session will include ample time to discuss how these trends apply to libraries in Northeast Florida.
