Dealing with Workplace Negativity - NEFLIN (08/17/17) 

“Negativity in the workplace” – the phrase has become almost cliché, hasn’t it? And the fact that it’s so “common” speaks volumes about the environments we face when we show up for work every day. Lower morale, lower productivity, lower customer service.

So what can we do about such a predictable, but demotivating, scenario? In this full-day face-to-face workshop, we’ll cover three primary sources of negativity in our workplaces: our patrons, our co-workers, and ourselves! We’ll discuss what causes it, how we can recognize it, and specific tips on how to handle it.

Attendees will:

• analyze where the negativity in their workplaces might be originating

Trainer: Linda Bruno

Linda has been developing and conducting training workshops for libraries and other organizations for more than fifteen years. She offers workshops on topics ranging from Leadership Skills to Emotional Intelligence – and lots of areas in between!

Linda received her MBA from the University of Florida and has years of experience in hands-on management positions. She develops her workshops based on solid research and – more importantly – real-life application. Linda is also certified with DDI and Achieve Global.
