Technical Services Interest Group Meeting (4/25/18)

Have you ever wondered about why things are organized the way they are in a library?

Are you interested in increasing access to your collection?

Is your catalog as friendly as it could be?

When you hear terms like, RDA, Bibframe and linked data, do you get excited?

The technical services field has the opportunity to have significant impact on library data, now and in the future. Would you like to know more? Join the conversation @ the Technical Services Interest Group.

Your Facilitator Is:  Tim Keller, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Tim Keller is the Head of Cataloging and Metadata with the Hunt Library at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University after relocating from Ohio. I have a Masters of Library and Information Science and a MS in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management from Kent State University.  I began working in academic libraries as a graduate student at Kent State University and have worked in a variety of academic and special libraries over the past decade. My professional interests include changes in cataloging and metadata, linked data and BIBFRAME, user experience design for technical services and librarians, and social media.
