Management Interest Group Meeting (6/26/18)

The purpose of this group is to gain an understanding of principles of Management and Leadership, explore theories in change management, challenges and solutions to workplace conflicts, how to deal with change and resistance, how to motivate employees, etc.

Your Facilitator Is: Chabha Hocine, Volusia County Public Library System

My name is Chabha Hocine and I am the Assistant Regional Librarian for the Volusia County Public Library System. This is my first job in Public Services and I love the diversity of our patrons and the demographic I serve through the library system. Prior to that, I was in Academia my entire adult life as either a professor or a librarian - leadership & management. Currently, I am completing a doctorate degree in Information Management at Syracuse University with a focus on Change Management

I am new to Florida and I love living by the beach. I enjoy spending my free time watching sunrises, feeding the birds, meditation, and long walks on the beach. My mission in life is to serve humanity by improving community, adding value, and helping others through coaching and mentoring.
