Cricut Workshop - @NEFLIN HQ
(04/26/19) 

In this beginning Cricut Class, participants will discover the Cricut universe! Learn about blades, the variety of tools, the large assortment of accessories and the expanse variety of materials. Participants will learn Cricut basics and feel confident to use the machine on their own.  An introduction to Cricut Design Space will enable participants to start creating on their own. Participants will be able to determine whether a Cricut subscription service will be useful in their setting. Several make and take projects are provided to participants. 

Warning:  Cricut is addictive and the possibilities are endless!

Trainers: Olivia Wilson & Katherine Kastanis

Olivia Wilson is the Head of Youth Services at Dunedin Public Library in Dunedin, Florida.  Her special interests are Early Literacy and assisting programming  librarians with crafting!  She has presented many FLYP programs for summer reading, other NEFLIN and SEFLIN courses as well as several FLA presentations.

 

Katherine Kastanis is the young adult librarian and young adult volunteer coordinator at Dunedin Public Library.  She has worked in public library youth services for over 13 years.  Katherine has presented numerous training workshops and webinars along the way throughout Florida. She is always looking for ways to increase teen and youth presence in her library and beyond.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff.  Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
