Frames & Exhibits in Library Collections: Tips for Safe Display & Storage - Webinar (09/26/19)

Exhibiting collections is a fun and engaging way to bring patrons into your institution, but not all displays are created equal.

Items already in frames can be a headache to store and care for, as well.

This session will look at various strategies for keeping framed objects and items on display safe during exhibit and in the storage room.

After the session, participants will be able to:

  • Assess legacy frames for retention or disposal
  • Identify conservation framing methods
  • Design safe storage for frames and framed items between exhibits
  • Choose appropriate display methods for paper and photograph collections

This webinar is for library staff with roles in collections care, exhibiting, or technical services. Any staff with an interest in improving collections care are welcome.
