Building a "Fundable" Strategic Plan - Webinar (04/08/20)

It’s often difficult to motivate boards, donors, grantmakers, voters or elected officials to say yes to new funding for new ideas.

A “fundable strategic plan” explains not only where the money is going but also who is spending it. Funders and supporters need to know how outcomes will be enhanced through new features at the library, and diminished across the community if it is not funded.

In this webinar, EveryLibrary’s executive director John Chrastka will share actionable insights from over 100 library funding campaigns about inclusive planning and uncover what truly drives successful plans.

Virtual Trainer: John Chrastka, EveryLibrary

John Chrastka is a founder and executive director of EveryLibrary, the first Super PAC for libraries, and the EveryLibrary Institute, a public policy and tax policy think tank for libraries. Since 2012, EveryLibrary has provided pro-bono support to 104 library communities with ballot measures and tax referendum, helping win over $325 million in stable tax funding.

He is a former Board president of the Berwyn (IL) Public Library and RAILS, the Reaching Across Illinois Libraries System. Prior to EveryLibrary, he was a partner in AssociaDirect, an association consultancy, and was Director for Membership Development at ALA. He was recognized by Library Journal in 2014 as a Mover & Shaker.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
