Meeting Information

The final Children's Services of 2020 will take place online on Friday, December 4th, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. 

From facilitator Misty Dubose:  "This meeting will be about Hope!  I hope that next year will be more successful, I hope that we as librarians can find some kind of normalcy.  I hope for the sake of each of us we can find Happ(y)ness in a world of unhappy people. I hope that we can educate children without bias, I hope we can share the love of reading.  This meeting will be a positive affirmation that we are trying and doing the best we can with what is in front of us.  Also, we will be sharing our Christmas crafts and LSTA grant programs."

I started out working in the Library System in 2002 at the Union County Public Library under Mary Brown.  That is where I was able to really allow my imagination to grow.  I went on to help write the CSLP Manual in 2004.  Under unforeseen circumstances, I left the Library, but I continued working with and educating children and those that were incarcerated.  Then I went back to the Library in 2011 at the Bradford County Public Library until the present day under Robert Perone, where I am currently the Youth Services Coordinator over the Children's Department.  I am able to continue with old and new innovations on promoting reading to all those in Bradford County.  Things I love about my job are my kiddos and their families and being able to have a personal and lasting impact on my kids and the community. 

When I am not at work I love spending time my daughter.  My other hobbies are reading and watching shows like the Game of Thrones. I am very crafty so I love to build/make things out of cardboard. 
 
Cost: NEFLIN Interest Groups are free of charge and are open to NEFLIN members only.  Registration is strongly encouraged.
