Meeting Information

At this meeting, Kelly Hovinga will present about Citizen science projects and how they can integrate into library programming. Kelly previously worked at the University of Michigan's Shapiro Undergraduate Library's Design Lab where she helped with the development of the Zooniverse project "Unearthing Michigan Ecological Data", taught workshops on developing citizen science projects, collaborated with the Ann Arbor District Library for lectures and activities, and worked with summer camps to participate in citizen science activities. Citizen Science is a great way to engage the community, foster lifelong learning, and collect scientifically worthy data.
