Ransomware, malicious software, hacks, and who is using and tracking us with data, are the main issues facing us online today. During this interactive session, we will delve into:

  • Current trends and issues with security and privacy

  • How we can protect ourselves and our users

  • What libraries can do to protect our users’ privacy and better secure their data

Virtual Trainer: Diana Silveira

Diana SilveiraDiana Silveira is a librarian and president of Novare Library Services where she works with libraries to develop, implement, and utilize technology effectively. Previously she worked at the Tampa Bay Library Consortium and the Charlotte Mecklenburg, NC Library. She has an MLIS from UNC-Greensboro and a BS in psychology from Catawba College.

Her book Library Technology Planning for Today and Tomorrow is available through Amazon and the Rowman & Littlefield Website.
