Alphabet Soup: Decoding Cataloging Speak - Webinar (11/19/21)

SnackSized Learning!

Cataloging and metadata have so many acronyms -- how is that even possible? BIBFRAME? FRBR, FRAD, FRSAD, LRM? MARC? RDA? XML? What does it all mean? How does it fit in with library work?

In this one hour, session we'll go through library lingo from A-Z with an emphasis on cataloging and metadata terminology, connecting the terminologies together. A glossary will be shared for quick reference.

This webinar is for all audiences, but especially of interest to staff new to cataloging, metadata work technical services or archives, public services or systems staff.
