Welcome to the Teen Services Interest Group!
For our first meeting of 2022, we’ll spend some time meeting each other and discussing the state of teen programming in our libraries. Are the teens coming back to your programs? What has worked well? What hasn’t worked out? This is a welcoming space to share ideas and experiences so we can all better serve our teen populations.

My name is Courtney Pyche (pronounced Puh – Shay), and I’m a Children and Teen Librarian for the Alachua County Library District. I have experience in county, academic, and federal library services and have had the privilege of specializing in youth programs for the last three years. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Florida in 2018 and my Master’s degree in Information from Florida State University in 2020. In teen services, libraries have an opportunity to encourage lifelong learning and civic engagement habits, and I believe we have a responsibility to teens in our communities to do so through relevant, engaging programs, collections, and services. |
