NoveList: Collection Promotion Deep Dive - Webinar (04/14/22)

This course is designed to help all library workers create strategies for promoting their resources and collection no matter the size of their population or the marketing experience of their staff.

Participants will get an overview of the most effective approaches for different promotion channels, along with guidance for keeping up with best practices, proven methods for tracking success, and ways to find collection promotion ideas.

Angela Hursh from NoveList leads this course designed to inspire your creativity in promoting collections online, in person, through curbside services, on social, in email, and more.

Virtual Trainer: Angela Hursh

Angela is Senior Engagement Consultant with NoveList. She helps libraries create effective marketing strategies for print and digital platforms that engage the community and advance the library's overall strategic goals. She also helps create interactive professional development courses that build skills and confidence for library staff.

In her previous role, Angela lead content marketing for the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library. She was also an Emmy-award-winning television news producer. Angela is the author of SuperLibraryMarketing.com and has a YouTube channel where she shares quick weekly tips with library marketers

Angela is usually reading two books at a time—one in print and one in audiobook form. Her favorite book as a child was Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Today you're likely to find her reading one of her favorite genres, including historical fiction, space adventures, memoirs, and classics. She attends the Jane Austen Festival in Louisville, Kentucky every summer with her daughter, both dressed in full Regency attire.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
