Meeting Information

In 2022, the Academic Libraries Interest Group enjoyed meeting in person at several of our member libraries, including St. Johns River State College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Bethune-Cookman University.  These meetings have given the group the opportunity to have great discussions, network, and see firsthand how other academic libraries are serving their student bodies.

For our first meeting of 2023, we'll be at Jacksonville University's Carl S. Swisher Library on Friday, March 10th, at 9:00 am.  Register today to join us!

9:00:  Arrival, Check In, Light refreshments
 9:15:  Welcome
9:30:  Library Website Tour and Discussion
10:00:  Campus tour via Golf Card
10:45:  Library Tour and Discussion

Optional:  Lunch together at Chick-fil-A (adjacent to the library)

Interest Group Facilitator:  Brittnee Fisher

Brittnee Fisher, Ed.D. is a Public Services Librarian at St. Johns River State College where she has worked since 2010. Aside from her role as a librarian, Brittnee also teaches a Pathways to College Success course for SJR State that teaches new college students many skills that will aid them as they continue their academic journey. Brittnee holds a B.A. from the University of Central Florida, an M.L.I.S. from the University of South Florida, and an Ed.D. from the University of West Florida. She is excited to begin teaching for the University of West Florida this spring as an adjunct for undergrad and graduate courses.

Outside of work Brittnee enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering. For fun, you might find Brittnee with a book in her hand or spending time with her extended family.
