Meeting Information

After a great run of visits to NEFLIN member libraries, we are going to end the year with an online meeting on a topic many of you have requested:  CV Development, including the difference between a CV and a resume, how to use your CV to build and enhance your career, what makes for a strong CV in the library field, and more.

Our guest speaker will be Dr. Anne Casey, the recently retired Director of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Hunt Library and NEFLIN's 2023 Distinguished Career Award winner.

Guest Speaker:  Dr. Anne Casey

Anne Casey is Hunt Library Director at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU).  Prior to this, she worked at the libraries of Central Michian University, National University in San Diego, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the Springfield (MA) City Library.  She received a Ph.D. in Managerial Leadership in the Information Professions from Simmons University and an AMLS from the University of Michigan.

Anne has held leadership positions in academic and public libraries for much of her career.  Her research interests include library assessment, leadership strategic planning, and scholarly communication.

Interest Group Facilitator:  Brittnee Fisher

Brittnee Fisher, Ed.D. is a Public Services Librarian at St. Johns River State College where she has worked since 2010. Aside from her role as a librarian, Brittnee also teaches a Pathways to College Success course for SJR State that teaches new college students many skills that will aid them as they continue their academic journey. Brittnee holds a B.A. from the University of Central Florida, an M.L.I.S. from the University of South Florida, and an Ed.D. from the University of West Florida. She is excited to begin teaching for the University of West Florida this spring as an adjunct for undergrad and graduate courses.

Outside of work Brittnee enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering. For fun, you might find Brittnee with a book in her hand or spending time with her extended family.
