Ethics in a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and Supervisee Relationship 

The Center for Lifelong Learning of Tulane School of Social Work will be virtually hosting Parker Robinson, MHA, LCSW-BACS to present Ethics in a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and Supervisee Relationship on May 21, 2022 from 1:15pm to 4:30pm CST. 

Course Description and Objectives

Ethics in a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and Supervisee Relationship will teach participants how to keep on track with a well-balanced plan of supervision that includes supervisee interests and required areas of coverage for supervision. This program will provide information to learn different ethical frameworks while teaching supervisees and how to recognize and approach stress and burnout in your supervisee. The participants will also learn how to address supervisee accountability and the new LABSWE online Certemy tracking system.

This training is designed for Licensed Social Workers. This continuing education workshop provides 3 BACS hours towards the BACS Renewal process.

Parker Robinson, MHA, LCSW-BACS is a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, Narrative Systems, DBT and CBT, and Trauma. She is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (the work of Brené Brown). She served on the Louisiana State Board of Social Workers Examiners from 2011 - 2014. She was Vice Chair of the Board and chaired the continuing education committee as well as served on the technology committee. Mrs. Robinson sat on the New Orleans Transitioning Foster Youth Task Force of the Children and Youth Planning Board from 2014 - 2017.

Mrs. Robinson is the Director of the Porter Cason Institute for the Family (PCI). She is currently supervising over 70 masters students in the process of receiving a specialization in mental health, addiction, and the family. As Director, she designs and completes the work of the PCI in consultation with its national board. The work currently focuses on relational healing and what happens when a client has a supportive family system or none at all. Mrs. Robinson has multiple community projects that focus on youth, the juvenile justice system, foster care, trauma, and addiction.

Parker Robinson is also the Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL). She teaches clinical work at the masters' level and supervises LMSW social workers.

Mrs. Robinson has private and pro bono practices that focus on family and couples work, children, trauma, substance misuse, and attachment injury. She has extensive training and experience in realtional work with a focus on attachment injury, addiction, grief, shame, trauma, and life transistions.

6. The evaluation is required and will be emailed the following week. Certificates will be emailed manually and shortly after.

Cancellation Policy:

In the event attendance of the program cannot be fulfilled, please notify the department 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund. A request to return reservation funds can be submitted to TSSW_CLL@wave.tulane.edu.

 

How will I receive the evaluation?

Evaluations are emailed the week following the program. If you have not completed the evaluation after two weeks, you will be contacted by a member of the Tulane School of Social Work community.

 

When will I receive my certificate?

Upon completion of the evaluation, certificates are sent manually and once a week until all have been distributed.
