Northeast Ohio has been and will continue to be at the center of the production economy. Although total jobs continue to decline, an aging workforce suggests that many well-paying jobs will be available in the coming decade. Perhaps more encouraging, output is up and new innovations promise to change how the world makes and interacts with the products we all use. How is our community stepping up to embrace these opportunities and what more should we be doing?
A starting point of any effort needs to be JobsOhio, which has marshalled resources and developed strategies for the manufacturing sector. In order to get our members and partners up to speed, the Fund for Our Economic Future and the Greater Cleveland Partnership invite you to a briefing on “The Future of Manufacturing” in Northeast Ohio, with special guest Glenn Richardson, Managing Director for Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace at JobsOhio. Glenn will share JobsOhio’s advanced manufacturing strategy and its implications for our region.
The program will run from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. Please register by September 15.
