Wheaton Franciscan's Elmbrook Memorial Hospital wins
2013 title of "Best Hospital Food in Wisconsin."

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Elmbrook Memorial was declared the winner of the third annual Hospital Food Fight on Sunday, March 24 at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee. The event benefited Stillwaters Cancer Support Services and included a “top chef-type” competition between hospital chefs, educational seminars, small food tastings from food businesses and children’s activities. Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin won the “People’s Choice Award” for the food samples provided to event attendees.

Six hospitals competed for the title: Elmbrook Memorial, Aurora Health Care’s Summit Medical Center, ProHealth Care’s Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial, Fort HealthCare's Fort Memorial Hospital and Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin. Each dish met the American Dietetic Association’s nutritional guidelines and cost less than $5.00. This was the third year that Elmbrook claimed the title.
