Recreating Our Destiny: Celebrating Recovery through Art and Music
Recreating Our Destiny will take place at Clifton Park on Saturday, September 25th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The event will be a celebration of recovery through the arts and music.
Recreating Our Destiny will feature live perfrormaces from local artists Eze Jackson and Amor. There will be an open mic show for participants to showcase their talents and express their experiences of recovery. There will be a DJ, free food, participatory art, games for kids and activities for the whole family! There will also be resources for mental health, treatment and overdose prevention.
Recovery from mental illness and substance use is an ongoing process where people find healing and restoration to support their health and wellness. Through recovery, people are able to recreate their own destiny and reimagine what is possible for our future.
We request that participants wear masks and maintain social distancing.
