40-Hour Basic Mediation Training 

This 40-hour mediation training presented by the OC Human Relations staff is appropriate for any individual who wishes to develop better personal or professional conflict resolution skills as well as for those who plan to become professional mediators. Successful completion of the training which exceed the requirements of the Dispute Resolution Programs Act (DRPA) qualifies the particpant to participate in DRPA mediation programs across the state of California and is also recognized by many other state-sanctioned mediation programs. 

The cost for the 40-hour training is $525 ($495 with early registration). Trainees are eligible for a $250 refund of the fee if they complete 120 of volunteer service at OC Human Relations and provide appropriate documentation within 6 months of completing the Basic Mediation Training.

Attorneys and other legal professionals may elect to receive M.C.L.E. credit for the training for an additional fee.

NOTE: Any cancelation/refund requests must be in writing and received 72 hours before the first day of the training. A $50 administrative fee wiil be charged for cancelations. No refunds will be issued once the training has started.
