Democratizing the DBQ:
Helping ALL Students to Read, Think, and Write in History and ELA classrooms
This lively one-day training will provide history and social science and language arts teachers in grades 4-12 with instructional strategies, sample lessons, and strategies for teaching document-based questions. Our instructional approach is designed to inspire great teaching and learning while meeting the goals of the new CA HSS Framework. Beth Montgomery of the DBQ Project will provide practical, hands-on experience spotlighting materials from the new Mini-Qs in California and American History Binder.
