Swim and Triathlon Coach Martha Szufnarowski presents the basics of swimming to get you through the race. Clinic will include lecture, dry-land demonstrations and pool practice with a “mock race swim” of 175 yards. This clinic is FREE and open to all adults. Youth who are strong swimmers over 15 years are welcome with a parent or guardian who remains at the clinic. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
BRING: Bathing suit, goggles, cap, water to drink pool-side, shower gear to use locker rooms. Please bring a pull buoy if you have one, it's optional but desirable.
NOTE: The entire clinic is outdoors. Please dress warmly for the lecture and dryland presentation. The water itself will be warm and inviting!!
WATER SAFE: All participants must be water safe and able to swim in a pool that is over your head. Swimmers who panic in the water should seek one-on-one coaching to prepare for the race or clinic. Check out www.SwimVelocity.com for options.

I fell in love with triathlon in 2001 when I moved to California from the northeast. The variety of swim-bike-run training works into a healthy lifestyle and I choose a few races each year to stay motivated and feel young. Though I was inspired by watching the Hawaii Ironman growing up, I never imagined I’d be a triathlete, let alone an Ironman myself! Triathlon enriches my life so much, I want to find ways to share that well-being with others. As a life-long educator, the transition to coaching feels natural for me. I am passionate about sharing the challenge of triathlon with women of all athletic abilities.
