Free Workshop: Federal Taxes and Your New Business 

 

DINNER WILL BE SERVED

To successfully operate your business you need to understand federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements. This workshop is an overview of the essential concepts for starting and running your business. You will learn about your responsibilities regarding books and records, accounting systems, and forms of business organization as well as hiring a professional tax preparer. 

After this workshop you will be able to:

•Explain the purpose of an employer identification number
•Describe basic recordkeeping requirements for tax purposes
•Define basic bookkeeping and accounting methods and terms
•List the forms of business organizations
•Select a paid tax preparer
