Stacy Allison with flagStacyQuote

CWLI is proud to announce Stacy Allison, the first American woman to summit Mount Everest, as the keynote speaker for it's 7th Annual Leadership Address to the Community, February 23rd at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

As a woman who set goals for herself, worked to create a team who could help her achieve those goals, adapted to change, overcame obstacles and was successful in reaching her destination, Stacy Allison will share the challenges she faced as a mountain climber and the values and best practices she developed and now applies to her business and daily life. Since summiting Mt. Everest, Stacy founded and now operates her own residential construction company in Portland, Oregon. The skills she developed to achieve her goals as a climber helped her find success in her business endeavors. Outdoor enthusiasts, extreme sport participants, fellow builders, business executives, and anyone who leads others to accomplish a goal will benefit from her story and the lessons learned from the various experiences she has had.

CWLI is an organization founded to develop women for positions of business, civic and political leadership. Through networking opportunities and a variety of training and educational programs, CWLI provides women with connections and skills to help them progress to leadership positions within their chosen professions. For the past six years, CWLI has hosted notable female leaders, including Gloria Steinem, FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair, Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell, and the first female Chief of the Cherokee Nation. CWLI is especially excited to have as its speaker this year, a woman who literally started at the bottom of a mountain and made a long, exceptionally difficult trek, foothold by foothold, to reach her goal. Stacy will share with our community how leadership, teamwork and each team member’s performance play critical roles in the mastering of a mountain and success in business and careers.

Doors will open at 5:30 PM, with dinner at 6:30 PM.
