The South Florida Cargo Theft Task Force (SFCTTF) emcompasses a host of federal and local law enforcement agencies with extensive experiences in cargo theft investigation. The SFCTTF prides itself in collaborating with law enforcement agencies across the nation to combat cargo theft in partnership with industry leaders. This four day seminar will deliver intense instruction by industry experts on current trends and innovative methods utilized by criminal enterprises. Industry and law enforcement professionals will highlight topics that include basic characteristics of the transportation industry, recommended best practices to follow and how to prepare and package complex investigations.
Our goal is to leave you with a clear understanding of the immense financial impact that cargo theft and organized retail crime (ORC) poses on the global economy. This seminar will provide instruction on the correlation that organized criminal groups share in cargo theft and similarly in ORC. The course will illustrate recent cargo theft and ORC cases showcasing actual investigation techniques and how the use of modern technology can be applied to solve complex cases. This seminar also represents a great networking opportunity with your local cargo theft and ORC investigators, as well as industry leaders who are eager to meet you during our complimentary networking hour.
